Welcome to the website and mobile application operated by Emirates Angels Investors Association. By accessing or using our services, you agree to these Terms.

1. Use of Services

  1. You must comply with applicable laws and not misuse the services.
  2. We may update, suspend, or discontinue features at any time.
  3. Emirates Angels reserves the right to require users to install updates to the mobile application (including mandatory or “forced” updates) for security, compliance, stability, feature availability, or any other operational reason. If you do not install a required update, some or all features of the app may become unavailable.

2. Accounts

  1. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
  2. You must promptly notify us of any unauthorized use.
  3. It is highly recommended to change your password frequently to protect your data.

3. User Eligibility

  1. Any user who owns, represents, or is associated with a business may sign up to the Emirates Angels app, subject to compliance with these Terms and all applicable laws.

4. Business Eligibility

  1. The business must be a technology or technology-enabled business.
  2. The business must have a valid trade license.
  3. We do not accept businesses that operate in, promote, facilitate, or materially support prohibited or restricted activities, including (without limitation):
    • Weapons, firearms, ammunition, explosives, and related accessories or services.
    • Adult content, pornography, escort services, or sexually explicit products or services.
    • Illegal drugs, narcotics, controlled substances, or any activity that facilitates illegal drug use or trafficking.
    • Gambling or betting services (including casinos, online betting, and lottery-related services), where prohibited or restricted by law.
    • Money laundering, fraud, scams, or any deceptive or misleading business practices.
    • Sale or distribution of counterfeit goods or intellectual property infringement.
    • Hate speech, extremist content, or businesses that promote violence, discrimination, or illegal activity.
    • Human trafficking, prostitution, or exploitation of any kind.
    • Unlicensed financial services, unregulated investment schemes, or activities that violate applicable financial regulations.
    • Any business that is sanctioned, prohibited, or restricted under the laws and regulations of the United Arab Emirates.

5. Business Information Requirements

  1. The business must have a logo.
  2. All required fields must be completed accurately and kept up to date.
  3. Using nicknames, aliases, or fake names for the user or the business may lead to permanent blocking.
  4. We do not guarantee that your business will receive investment.
  5. A free or under-development website may lead to rejection.
  6. Failure to upload a renewed trade license within 90 days may lead to permanent blocking.

6. Content

  1. All materials are owned by or licensed to Emirates Angels.
  2. Content may not be copied or redistributed without permission.

7. Third-Party Links

  1. We are not responsible for third-party websites or services.
  2. We are not responsible for any fees, charges, costs, or payment terms imposed by third parties, including fees related to third-party platforms, products, services, or transactions.

8. Blocked User or Business

  1. We reserve the right to block or restrict access at our sole discretion.
  2. No explanation or notice is required where legally permitted.

9. Investment, Advice, Due Diligence, and Confidentiality

  1. Emirates Angels does not provide investment, legal, tax, financial, or other professional advice. Any information shared through the services is for general information purposes only.
  2. Investors must perform their own due diligence before making any investment decision, including independent verification of any information provided by a business or other users.
  3. All users (including businesses) must perform their own due diligence and exercise independent judgment before entering into any discussions, negotiations, or transactions.
  4. No duty (including any fiduciary duty) is owed between Emirates Angels and users regarding investments, investment decisions, or outcomes.
  5. Businesses and investors are solely responsible for the accuracy, completeness, and legality of the information they upload, publish, or share through the services.
  6. Emirates Angels does not verify, audit, or guarantee the correctness of any user-provided content, statements, claims, financials, valuations, projections, or documents.
  7. It is the investor’s responsibility to ensure they are legally eligible to invest, and to comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and requirements in their jurisdiction.
  8. Investors must not invest in, transact with, or otherwise support countries, entities, individuals, or activities that are sanctioned, prohibited, or listed on any applicable blacklist under the laws and regulations of the United Arab Emirates.
  9. Emirates Angels does not automatically impose non-disclosure agreements (NDAs) between users and does not sign NDAs with anyone.
  10. Any confidentiality arrangements, NDAs, and the protection of confidential information are the sole responsibility of the parties involved, and users should seek independent legal advice where appropriate.

10. Disclaimers & Liability

  1. The services are provided “as is” without warranties.
  2. We are not responsible for ratings made by investors.
  3. We are not responsible for any deal or dispute between investors and businesses.
  4. We do not charge fees or commissions on investment deals.
  5. Emirates Angels may, at its discretion, charge or not charge fees for certain services provided to investors or businesses, and such fees (if any) will be communicated separately.

11. Changes

  1. We may update these Terms from time to time.
  2. Continued use of the app constitutes acceptance of updated Terms.
  3. Updated Terms apply to both new and existing users and businesses.

12. Governing Law

  1. These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Arab Emirates.

13. Assignment

  1. Emirates Angels may assign or transfer its rights and obligations under these Terms, in whole or in part, if the platform structure changes (including restructuring), or as otherwise required for operational, legal, or administrative reasons.
